On November 10th, it’s every daddy for himself. Check out the new trailer for #DaddysHome2!

Mark Wahlberg will star in Paramount’s “Instant Family,” an indvidual with knowledge of the project told TheWrap.

The movie follows a couple who decide to adopt children currently in foster care, but end up with three kids who can’t be controlled. Paramount plans to start shooting next year.

“Instant Family” will be directed by “Daddy’s Home” helmer Sean Anders. Anders and John Morris wrote the film and will produce along with Wahlberg and Steve Levinson.

The Wahlberg and Will Ferrell-starrer “Daddy’s Home” was a massive hit for Paramount during the 2015 holiday season, grossing $150 million domestically and $92 million overseas. A sequel to the film, “Daddy’s Home 2,” is set to hit theaters Nov. 10.

Paramount could also use a bankable hit after a rough couple years in which would-be family friendly blockbusters like “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows” and “Monster Trucks” flopped.

Wahlberg is represented by WME, who packaged the comedy. Anders is represented by UTA.

Paramount Pictures has released nine new character posters for Transformers 5, ahead of its theatrical release on Wednesday, June 21. These one-sheets feature robot and human characters alike, such as the British transformer Cogman, Vivian Wembley (Laura Haddock), the beloved Autobot Bumblebee, Izzy (Isabela Moner), Jimmy (Jerrod Carmichael), Lt. Colonel William Lenox (Josh Duhamel), Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), Sir Edward Burton (Anthony Hopkins) and the Transformer Hot Rod. The studio also announced today that exclusive Optimus Prime Time opening night events for Michael Bay’s Transformers: The Last Knight will be held across the U.S. on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. local time at participating theaters.

Humans and Transformers are at war, Optimus Prime is gone. The key to saving our future lies buried in the secrets of the past, in the hidden history of Transformers on Earth. Saving our world falls upon the shoulders of an unlikely alliance: Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg); Bumblebee; an English Lord (Anthony Hopkins); and an Oxford Professor (Laura Haddock). There comes a moment in everyone’s life when we are called upon to make a difference. In Transformers: The Last Knight, the hunted will become heroes. Heroes will become villains. Only one world will survive: theirs, or ours.

Transformers: The Last Knight opens nationwide on June 21, 2017. While this is expected to be the final Transformers movie for director Michael Bay, and even for the beloved character Optimus Prime, the franchise is far from over. Paramount is currently prepping its Bumblebee spin-off, which recently brought on Hailee Steinfeld to star, with Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) set to direct. There are reportedly 13 other Transformers movies that have been developed through the Transformers writers room, but the studio hasn’t announced which movie will come after Bumblebee, which has been set for release on June 8, 2018.

Mark Wahlberg may be busy being a major movie star, but he’s also a dad!

On “The Ellen DeGeneres Show”, Wahlberg gives a big update on his kids. The actor is more than pleased his devotion to the New England Patriots has carried over to his two sons, who have picked up the game of football.

“My oldest son plays tackle football… they’re going to both play flag football this year and play tackle this year,” Wahlberg explains. “But I am now officially the assistant coach.”

While the Hollywood A-lister can’t wait to take to the gridiron, DeGeneres is a bit more apprehensive. “Oh no, that’s not going to be good for anybody,” she quips. “I can see that you would get very worked up.” “My wife had the same reaction,” the “Transformers” star replies.

Having a resume stacked with action movies, Mark Wahlberg is now ready to take on a superhero role. Kind of.

Speaking with the Transformers-franchise star on the red carpet of CinemaCon, Walhberg told ComicBook that he could begin shooting a reboot of the 1970s classic, The Six Million Dollar Man.

“We finally got the script for The Six Billion Dollar Man,” he said. “Now that’s not your typical superhero because I will not put on a cape nor a spandex outfit, but the script is amazing.

“The script is amazing. We’ve been developing it for quite some time and finally got it to where we want to go shoot the movie, so hopefully we will shoot in the fall.”

Six BILLION Dollar Man.
Shooting in the fall.
You have our attention, Mark.

Originally airing as a trio of science fiction and action movies it became a television series from 1974 to 78. The show was focused on former astronaut, Colonel Steve Austin, who was given superhuman strength after he was implanted with bionic parts by the federal government.

It could be argued that it was a hybrid of Wolverine and Cyborg, worked into one show that went on to become a cultural phenomenon.

American telecommunications company AT&T (T) announced Monday actor and entertainer Mark Wahlberg will join its growing list of celebrity spokespeople.

The company told FOX Business Wahlberg will be part of an exclusive advertising campaign that will include “a series of TV and digital ads” promoting customers’ ability to access content anywhere they go. AT&T said the campaign, which begins filming this week, is scheduled to launch next month.

Though the telecom company wouldn’t comment on the specific terms of the deal, The New York Post reported that Wahlberg’s contract could be valued at more than $10 million.

Mobile networks have increasingly turned to stars to reach elusive cord-cutting millennials. Wahlberg, known for roles in movies such as “The Departed,” “The Other Guys,” and “The Italian Job,” follows a similar deal struck with singer Taylor Swift at the end of last year. Swift’s multi-year contract with AT&T includes thirteen “episodes” which feature behind-the-scenes commentary and footage available to stream on demand.

In November, AT&T also signed actress Reese Witherspoon as a partner to collaborate on original content with an emphasis on female-driven stories. The project, called “Hello Sunshine,” will feature social and short videos, as well as longer television shows, all with Witherspoon at the helm.

The lines between Hollywood and the comic book industry continue to blur: Mark Wahlberg is the latest star to venture into the medium, for a sci-fi project with Vault Comics titled “Alien Bounty Hunter.” CBR has the first details.

Wahlberg and his production partner Stephen Levinson are named as “producers” of the series, which will be scripted by Vault Comics Editor-in-Chief Adrian F. Wassel & David M. Booher, illustrated by Nick Robles and lettered by Deron Bennet. Levinson created the series, and the story is credited to Levinson and F.J. DeSanto, writer of Vault Comics’ “Failsafe.” “Alien Bounty Hunter” is scheduled to debut this July at Comic-Con International in San Diego, with a monthly series launching shortly afterwards.

“Some of today’s greatest film franchises originated as comics,” Wahlberg and Levinson said in a joint statement. “We always try to get involved with the story telling process from its inception. With ‘Alien Bounty Hunter’ we are creating a new hero’s origin story.”

Here’s the official description of the story: “Ben Madsen is tasked with apprehending a wanted fugitive… but quickly learns that his target is not of this world. Madsen must track his mark through an alien enclave populated by the galaxy’s most dangerous aliens—right here on Earth.” “Alien Bounty Hunter” co-writer Adrian Wassel calls it “an homage and a send-up of every adventure flick and action hero we’ve ever loved.”

As you’d expect, the stated hope is for “Alien Bounty Hunter” to be adapted to a “wide range of media” after it’s debut as a comic book. It’s the first comic book production from Wahlberg and Levinson, who have previously collaborated on HBO series “Entourage,” “Boardwalk Empire” and “Ballers,” and USA Network show “Shooter.”
