After a 15 year break, “New Kids on the Block” reunited in 2008 to host an exclusive cruise for their die-hard fans. Now, viewers can watch the party at sea as it’s documented in their new reality show “Rock This Boat.”

We’re thrilled to announce a very special one night only NKOTB headline show on the boardwalk by the seashore at the brand new Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn, NY on August 4th.

We’re excited to spend the night with you taking it all the way back to Coney Island. As you know, it is a very special place for NKOTB history because we filmed our very first music video for “Please Don’t Go Girl” right there at the amusement park.

This is our last big announcement for 2016 events and we decided we wanted to extend the party and kick off the weekend of Mixtape Festival with a bang; Spending an evening with you partying by the seashore.

This will be a one of a kind, special show not to be missed. Come join us and maybe we’ll all go on a spin on the Wonder Wheel or maybe a little dip in the ocean.

We’re looking forward to making brand new memories with you in CONEY ISLAND.

Hey New Kids on the Block fans, are you ready for some arena pop?

NKOTB have been talking about releasing a new album for a long time. Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre and Danny Wood assure Billboard it’s coming sooner than later. “Yes, we’re gonna do some new music soon. I’m putting it out there,” Wood says. “I know talk is cheap; we will take action and get it done.”

“We’re talking about either doing a whole new album or at least a good chunk of songs and then be able to go on tour and perform those new songs,” Knight adds. “You’ve heard of arena rock. We’re going to come out with a new genre called arena pop. It has to be very danceable, and anthemic. There’s got to be some oh-ohs and callbacks and chants. Very upbeat and inspiring.”

“What inspires me is what will work best live. Although we were thrilled with the reception of our last two records, we are a touring act. We love to perform,” says McIntyre referring to the group’s 2008 Interscope album The Block, and 2013 set 10, released on The Block/Boston Five. Both reached the top 10 on the Billboard 200.

“I always think, ‘Can this work in an arena?’ We have great fans, and we have a great party and we get to put on really entertaining shows — that’s what gets me going,” Knight adds.

While fans remain on hold for the new tunes, there’s no shortage of ways to stay connected with the group, which also includes Donnie Wahlberg and Jonathan Knight. “These days with social media its easy to stay connected. They know everything we’re up to,” says Wood.

There’s a level of intimacy that comes from interacting with many of the same fans for decades. “Back in the day it seemed like our fans were a wall of people, just a bunch of flashes from a camera, but now we really know them,” Knight says. “We’ve been touring so much, we know a lot of them and we’re so grateful.”

Just in time to cure your snow-congested wintertime blues, New Kids on the Block announced that their annual blowout vacation cruise is coming back in 2016.

The NKOTB Cruise, which band-member Jordan Knight called “an insane five-day party,” has been a tradition since it kicked off in 2009. The day-into-night festivities have cocktails, costumes, selfies, amazing weather—and it all takes place in the presence of the Boston-bred boy band.

It’s basically Coachella, but for Blockheads.

The boat will voyage October 20 to 24, from New Orleans to Cozumel, Mexico. Pre-sale tickets for Block Nation are on sale today, January 27 at 10 a.m., and for past cruisers and guests at 12 p.m. General sale begins Thursday, January 28 at 12 p.m. See for more details.

Nancy Grace and Donnie Wahlberg, star of the CBS drama “Blue Bloods,” debate the controversial Netflix documentary-series, “Making a Murderer.”

The New Kids on the Block album “Hangin’ Tough” will be the subject of a 33⅓ book to be released by Bloomsbury Publishing on April 21. It’s a very big deal for the locally bred boy band.

Other artists profiled in the series, which has respected musicians and journalists writing about iconic albums, include Dusty Springfield, whose “Dusty in Memphis” was profiled by Warren Zanes; the Replacements’ “Let It Be,” which was taken on by Decemberists frontman Colin Meloy, and Bob Dylan, whose “Highway 61 Revisited” had its 33⅓ book written by Mark Polizzotti, director of the publication program at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

The author of the New Kids book is Rebecca Wallwork, director of content strategy for Loews Hotels & Resorts, who was once the music editor at Interview magazine. Her “Hangin’ Tough” chapter titles will include “Rise N’ Grind,” “Let’s Get This,” and “BH Love Eternal.” (BH stands for “blockhead.”) The 33⅓ series is named after the speed of an LP album.

Clip from the The Graham Norton New Year’s Eve Show. Both Will Ferrell and Mark Wahlberg behave like lunatics when watching their kids play sports.

The actor sat down with some kids to teach them a few things… about the birds and the bees.  []

Mark Wahlberg and Jimmy compete in a football toss with random objects, including a large chocolate milkshake from Wahlburgers and a dancing Santa.

He’s known for playing action heroes and tough guys on the big screen but Mark Wahlberg isn’t shy about showing off his macho tendencies on the small screen either.

The actor, 44, happily accepted a challenge from Ellen DeGeneres to show what he’s made of during an appearance her daytime talk show to be broadcast Thursday.

He pulled off 22 pull-ups in 30 seconds, thanks to his bulging biceps, and by doing so he raised $20,000 for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Dressed in black sweatpants and a shirt-sleeved t-shirt, the Lone Survivor star unveiled some impressive muscles as he took to the gym equipment at Ellen’s urging.

The TV host looked impressed as she watched him pull off the chin-ups in quick succession.

He’s the latest celebrity to undertake a challenge on the show as a way of raising donations for breast cancer charities.

Wahlberg also had a big confession to make to the comedienne who is hosting another of her popular Cat Weeks on her show.

The Boston native admitted that he is, in fact, allergic to cats.

The two also chatted about the secret to his happy six-year marriage to model wife Rhea Durham with whom he has four children.

He told Ellen that he likes to dress up as a handyman and fix things around the house as a way of keeping her interested.  []

While most of us in New England spent Columbus Day weekend indulging in fall activities like apple picking and sweater-wearing and pumpkin spice purchasing, Blockheads (aka New Kids on the Block die-hards) spent their holiday hanging out with their favorite boy band on the sandy shores of the Bahamas. Alas, the annual NKOTB Cruise had commenced.

From what we can deduce based on pics and tweets, the lively five-day occasion was a giant day-into-night carousal complete with cocktails, costumes, selfies, and pleasingly balmy weather. It was a mom version of Coachella, probably.

Of the five NKOTBers—Donnie Wahlberg, Jordan and Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, and Danny Wood—it seems like good ol’ Donnie was the boat’s utmost party rocker (a fact that is shocking to no one). He busted out his moves (and a “Straight Outta Dorchester” shirt) all over the place while crowds chanted along with him. A man in his natural habitat.

Rock This Boat: New Kids On The Block is getting a second season on Pop. Band members Donnie, Joey, Danny, Jordan and Jonathan will all be back on board for their fan cruise which sets sail next month from Miami to Grand Turk, Bahamas.

The first season of Rock This Boat told the real-life personal stories and long-awaited journeys of the band’s most devoted fans with limited backstage footage. In the second season, the eight-episode series will turn its focus directly on the band. Cameras will be placed inside each band member’s cabin, as well as backstage to capture their real interactions, banter and private moments.

“We are excited for season two of ‘Rock This Boat,’ which will shine a light on our band’s amazing, unsurpassed relationship with our fans – the best fans in the history of music,” said Donnie Wahlberg. “We are also excited to show the millions of fans who cannot attend our cruises just how awesome the NKOTB and Blockhead relationship is, as we turn the cameras around on ourselves this time!”

Rock This Boat is produced by Jarrett Creative Group in association with Donnie D. Productions. Donnie Wahlberg, Julie Insogna Jarrett and Seth Jarrett are executive producers.
